BACON and Choc-berry Protein Bites

Bacon Choc-berry Protein Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop hemp protein (I used natural)
  • 1 scoop whey protein isolate (I used chocolate)
  • ½ cup baked sweet potato
  • 1 egg
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½  strip bacon (pre- fried, and cut into small pieces)
  • Natvia to taste
  • ½ cup berries of choice (I used blueberries

 Method

  1. Preheat oven to around 180 degrees
  2. Using a blender, combine until fluffy: sweet potato, hemp protein, whey, egg, baking powder
  3. Taste the batter and add cinnamon and natvia to your liking
  4. Add berries, and combine with a spoon, this stops the total breakdown of the berries. I like to have some whole berries in the mixture.
  5. Spoon the mixture either onto a tray, like cookies, or into muffins cases, or a cake tin

Cookie bites
  • Sprinkle the bacon on top, lightly pressing it into the batter
  • Bake in the oven until the bites are firm to touch, around 15mins for my oven
  • Allow to cool, and enjoy the sweet and salty treats
